Blaguss and FlixBus have introduced eight zero-emission Yutong coaches on the cross-border route linking Vienna Airport and Bratislava. Thanks to this service, over 90 per cent of the planned kilometres on this route are now covered using electric power.

The project comprises 66 daily services and 5,568 kilometres travelled under electric power each day, which accounts for over 90 per cent of the total number of kilometres scheduled on this route.

The eight vehicles put into service as part of the partnership with FlixBus form part of a wider programme to introduce electric buses, which Blaguss is already implementing. In April 2026, the Austrian operator put 12 zero-emission Yutong T12E buses into service as part of the ‘Way to Zero’ programme.
